What Is Somatic Performance Coaching?

This is more than training — it’s a full-body return. Somatic Performance Coaching starts with the nervous system — because confidence doesn’t come from force — it comes from safety, skill, and presence. This approach blends skill-based movement, embodied awareness, and emotional regulation to help you reconnect with your body through confidence, not force. This work draws from:
- The science of neuroplasticity and regulation
- The structure of martial arts and resistance training
- The wisdom of somatic pacing and embodied awareness
It’s coaching that meets you exactly where you are — whether you’re burned out, disconnected, or simply done treating your body like a project to fix. This is for people who want to feel strong again — physically, emotionally, and energetically.

How the Brain Learns Movement
How Somatic Awareness Accelerates Learning & Repatterning
Core Pillars of Somatic Performance Coaching
Regulate First
We begin with breath, awareness, and co-regulation. When the nervous system feels safe, everything else—movement, focus, and healing—can land and last.
Movement as Medicine
Movement isn’t just physical—it’s therapeutic. Skillful, structured motion restores connection, releases tension, and re-patterns the body from the inside out.
Strength Through Skill
This isn’t about mindless reps or brute force. It’s about precision, control, and adaptability—building strength that’s intelligent, transferable, and rooted in nervous system safety.
Body-Led, Trauma-Aware
We don’t push through pain—we follow what the body is ready for. That means no override, no hustle traps—just presence, trust, and sustainable growth.
Modalities Offered
Whether you’re lifting a mace, striking from centerline, or down regulating your breath—each modality invites your body to become more adaptive, resilient, and self-led. Each of these practices is a doorway back to embodied trust. All practices fall into three nervous-system-informed categories: Restore, Move, and Integrate. This approach meets you where your system actually is—not where it thinks it “should” be.
Restore
For recovery, regulation, and nervous system repair. Especially supportive for burnout, high sensitivity, trauma integration, or foundational re-patterning.
The Somatic Flow Method (ReGroove Fitness Original)

A foundational nervous system practice developed from years of lived experience, client work, and somatic inquiry. It integrates subtle movement, breath, interoception, and energy orientation to invite your system back into safety—without pressure or performance. This isn’t borrowed technique—it’s an evolving method rooted in ReGroove’s unique philosophy: movement as regulation, presence as power.
- Recommended starting point for new or dysregulated clients.
- Supports emotional resilience, sensory re-attunement, and embodied pacing.
Restorative Mobility (mobility training for recovery and reconnection)

More than stretching—this is hands-on, breath-connected work that reintroduces the body to spaciousness and trust. Includes:
- Neuromuscular-informed assisted stretching (with techniques like Golgi tendon release)
- Self and guided fascia release
- Authentic Qigong to restore breath rhythm and energetic coherence
This modality supports transitions—from intensity to rest, from disconnection to embodied flow.
- Ideal between training cycles, or when the system needs support landing.
- Regulates through tissue, not tension.
Move
For building skill, strength, and embodied confidence. Best when your system is ready for healthy challenge—without override or hustle.
Martial Movement (bodyweight conditioning meets relational rhythm)

Jeet Kune Do and Wing Chun form the structural core of this practice—helping you re-pattern boundaries, build fluid confidence, and train with rhythm, presence, and breath. From a somatic lens:
- Chi Sao fosters responsive co-regulation
- JKD reinforces structural awareness and adaptive flow
- Rebuilds healthy assertiveness, clarity, and energetic containment
Confidence here isn’t forced—it’s built through rhythm, awareness, and embodied readiness.
- Ideal for reclaiming agency, sharpening focus, and embodying grounded power.
- This is movement literacy, practiced through connection—not control.
Somatic Strength (functional strength with nervous system fluency)

Strength training using kettlebells, maces, clubs, rings, and bodyweight—but led by precision, breath, and internal awareness. This is nervous system mastery in the language of load.
It rewires how you engage with challenge—building strength that shows up not just in your body, but in your posture, pacing, and presence. Clients learn to:
- Move with their system—not override it
- Train power without burnout
- Let effort evolve into sovereignty
- For building sustainable strength, physical clarity, and unshakable body-trust.
- Strength becomes something you embody, not something you chase.
Integrate

For deeper processing, energetic coherence, and narrative repair. This is where insight meets sensation—and your story begins to shift from within.
Energy Work
A gentle, intuitive modality to support somatic unwinding and subtle recalibration. Sometimes described as “Reiki-like,” this practice is distinctively ReGroove—drawing from years of movement, breath, and energetic study. Includes:
- Relational energy sensing
- Presence-based energetic support
- Authentic Qigong to guide containment and flow
- Ideal between high-output phases or during emotional unwinding.
- Helps your system remember it’s allowed to soften—and still be strong.
Reflective Repatterning
Where story and sensation reconnect. This integrative practice blends shadow work, journaling, somatic inquiry, and CBT-inspired reflection. It doesn’t try to “fix” the mind—it helps it listen to the body again.
- For clients shifting long-held patterns, navigating inner conflict, or deepening emotional resilience.
- This is not performance—it’s presence.
Why It Works
A Nervous System–First Path to Strength, Presence, and Resilience
This isn’t traditional fitness. It’s not clinical therapy. And it’s definitely not boring.
This work is grounded in somatic principles—yet expressed through martial skill, resistance precision, relational rhythm, and yes—play. Because nervous system healing doesn’t have to feel like homework. It can feel alive, skillful, and even fun.
You’re not here to grind. You’re here to repattern, reconnect, and reclaim your body’s potential—through practices that challenge you just enough to stay present, without tipping you into override.
We don’t treat the body like a machine—or the mind like something to fix. We work with the whole system—through sensation, breath, movement, and awareness—to restore strength that comes from within.
This work builds strength that lives in your timing, your posture, and your power—not just your muscles.
Who This Is For
This work is for people ready to reconnect with their body—not just push it harder. It’s especially supportive for:
High performers who feel calm on the outside, but disconnected on the inside
You’ve done the mindset work—but your body still holds the tension.
Givers and caregivers who support everyone else, but feel under-resourced themselves
You’re strong for others. This is where you strengthen yourself—nervously, physically, emotionally.
Sensitive systems who’ve “tried everything” but still feel dysregulated
You don’t need another hack. You need a system that listens first, then guides.
Movers, lifters, and seekers who want strength with depth—not at the cost of it
You want to train—but you also want to trust your body again.
Anyone ready to feel strong, safe, and self-led—on their own terms
You’re not here to perform. You’re here to reclaim.
