I am not your average run of the mill CPT. I have over 20 years of study in Southern Shaolin Kung Fu & Qigong (Chinese meditation). Having both an open mind and the experience of movement through martial arts, it has given me the edge in creating exciting and highly rewarding health & fitness programs.
My mediation/qigong services originate from Shaolin & Taoist practices. My energy work addresses mindfulness, inner-focus, and moving healing energy within the internal realm of the body. Along with meditation, I also offer flexibility training to promote a flexible mind, body, & spirit.
My studio is located in SE Portland, Oregon. I can also coach at your facility or a public location. I currently coach & instruct on a weekly basis for a wide range of adult ages. Here are my services that I have to offer:

Discipline: Mastery Achieved Through Repetition.
Bruce Lee is a global martial arts icon, training in several styles, he figured out what worked best for him by absorbing what was useful and discarded what was not. Guided by philosophy & scientific principles, this legendary figure coined his art as Jeet Kune Do (JKD), which is a modern martial art that is influenced by wing chun kung fu, fencing, and boxing. JKD is explosive & plyometric (power training). JKD's main influence is Wing Chun Kung Fu. I am also Wing Chun certified. Wing Chun is known as a practical style of self-defense. It uses non-muscular force for those who are smaller in stature. It promotes well-being and is known to promote stress-reduction. Wing Chun is really good at fixing shoulder & hip dysfunctions.
MEDITATION & QIGONG
Mindfulness | Clarity | Peace
I have over 20 years of practice in meditation & qigong. Learning from my father at a young age, and attending numerous workshops from masters like Mantak Chia & Master Zhongxian Wu, I have accumulated a wealth of Taoist exercises aimed to reduce stress and bring you peace of mind. Here is a syllabus of guided practices I have to offer:

- Siu Nim Tao (The Little Idea) Moving Meditation

I can stick to resistance training in the traditional sense, or I can combine it with martial arts training. I can safely coach you through stability, strength, and power training. I specialize in the following:

JOINT PAIN & MUSCLE IMBALANCE
As a CPT, I have specializations in Corrective Exercise that aims to fix muscle imbalances. Daily patterns, such as long periods of sitting create muscle imbalances that creates stress on the skeletal system. I personally know what living with chronic lower back pain is like. I also know how it can impact your lifestyle. Do you have injury concerns? I can address the following areas:
- Foot & Ankle pain
- Knee pain
- Hip pain
- Shoulder pain
- Head & Neck pain
Every major athlete knows that recovery is the key to advanced performance, and as we get older this certainly becomes more and more important. My flexibility training uses foam-rolling & stretching techniques taught by the National Academy of Sports Medicine's Corrective Exercise program that I am certified in. My Flexibility training is influenced by martial arts, yoga, and through my personal journey through chronic lower back pain.
