Universal Healing Tao Training with Senior Instructor Jon Weston – Day 8

August 1, 2017 by Dan Ma Leave a Comment

Today was my eighth and last day of training with Jon Ashley Weston, thus completing 16 hours of training. I have learned a lot from The Professor and I am grateful to have had the opportunity to be trained by one of Mantak’s most senior instructors. I have a lot of practice ahead of me to do. Universal Healing Tao Training with Senior Instructor Jon Weston – Day 7

July 27, 2017 by Dan Ma Leave a Comment

On my sixth day of training with Jon Ashley Weston we reviewed all the previous practices and I learned the fusion 2. The second fusion has something to do with the creative cycle and moving energy around in the thrusting channels and the belt channels. There a lot of questions about the fusions that I don’t understand. I will have to read Mantak’s book to get a better idea about what the fusion practice means. Full session:

Universal Healing Tao Training with Senior Instructor Jon Weston – Day 6

July 25, 2017 by Dan Ma Leave a Comment

On my sixth day of training with Jon Ashley Weston we reviewed all the previous practices and finished up the rest of the first fusion of the Fusion of Five Elements. The first fusion deals with creating the internal mechanism to collect left over energies (climate, sensory, and negative energies) to transform into useful healing energy. I’ll be learning the fusion 2 on Wednesday. Full session: Guided Meditation (Inner Smile, Microcosmic Orbit, Testicle Breathing, Fusion 1, and Six Healing Sounds): Iron Shirt:

Universal Healing Tao Training with Senior Instructor Jon Weston – Day 5

July 20, 2017 by Dan Ma Leave a Comment

On my fifth day of training with Jon Ashley Weston we reviewed the previous practices of The Inner Smile, Healing Light Meditation (Opening the Cosmic Orbit), Chi Self Massage, the Six Healing Sounds, Iron Shirt Chi Kung set, and the Testicle Breathing practice. Today I learned some of the Fusion of Five Elements, which I found challenging to say the least. I still feel like I am playing catch up with the Iron Shirt practice. The Professor had an interesting story about a group of his colleagues from Grand Master Mantak Chia’s school went into the Himalayan mountains in search of some masters. A guide or translator recommended that they visit a certain cave and check out this guy doing some good work. When they found him in the cave he told them that he is practicing from what he learned from a book. He took out the book and it was Mantak Chia’s Fusion of the Five Elements. Universal Healing Tao Training with Senior Instructor Jon Weston – Day 4

July 18, 2017 by Dan Ma Leave a Comment

On my fourth day of training with Jon Ashley Weston we reviewed the previous practices of The Inner Smile, Healing Light Meditation (Opening the Cosmic Orbit), Chi Self Massage, the Six Healing Sounds, and Iron Shirt Chi Kung set. I learned the Healing Love through the Tao today, which completes the first level of my Universal Healing Tao training. I have had to rewrite this several times, because I want to be fair and honest. Today session was especially interesting. As I listened to The Professor talk about the gender differences with respect to Taoist philosophy, I was reminded how gender and generation can help shape one’s belief system. Usually when I encounter this I let it go, because it is hard to change an older mind. I understand that our bodies have limitations, that of course can get into gender politics. I don’t like to put bodily limitations on people, given that I experienced enough racism growing up. I like to keep an open mind when ever I am in a learning situation. With all that being said, if you listen to the full session, you may find a lot of the talking points to be offensive and sexist. I think Jon is a good person, just as I do as most men from that generation. I also think this circumstance is a little different as Jon believes that as light bodies (spirit & soul) we are all gender-less and that we choose for individual reasons to be the bodies that we are in now. I don’t think Jon thinks to discriminate against one’s gender and he acknowledged that one can over come one’s bodily limitations. I think Jon believes that nature has a smooth path and to go against it leads to suffering. Is he wrong? I don’t know, but I do know if we set expectations and limitations for gender and race it will most likely lead to discrimination. Full session:

Universal Healing Tao Training with Senior Instructor Jon Weston – Day 3

July 13, 2017 by Dan Ma

On my third day of training with Jon Ashley Weston we reviewed the previous practices of The Inner Smile, Healing Light Meditation (Opening the Cosmic Orbit), Chi Self Massage, and the Six Healing Sounds. I was introduced to the Iron Shirt Chi Kung: Embracing the Tree, Holding the Golden Urn, the Golden Turtle Immersing in Water, the Buffalo Emerging from the Water, Golden Phoenix Washes its Feathers, and the Iron Bridge. The postures were more or less the same as my dad taught me, but the Professor gave me refined detailed corrections. I think it will take a good amount of time to get situated with the Iron Shirt practice by Mantak’s linage. Full session:
